Bayelsa Youths endorse Keniebi Okoko for 2019 Governorship Polls

YENAGOA- A  nonpartisan sociopolitical youth group, Organising for Bayelsa has endorsed a Lagos based Bayelsan born businessman Mr. Keniebi Diton Okoko as its candidate for the 2019 gubernatorial election in Bayelsa State.

The group reached this position in a meeting held in Yenagoa, it identified that Bayelsa is in dire need of a fix and only men with strong proof of industry and entrepreneurial acumen should be sort for and supported to run in 2019 elections.
The coordinator of the group, Mr. Rex Ebitimi who spoke to newsmen after the meeting stated that the group had reached this decision after extensive consultations. He  further highlighted that though he does not have any personal relationship with Okoko, a committee was set-up to investigate some persons nominated for endorsement to run for different elective offices for the 2019 polls and the reports from all the teams scored the young Okoko very high.

The group alluded to the fact that Okoko is fresh to the political space haven participated only once in 2005 elections contesting in the PDP House of Assembly primaries against Rt. Hon. Werinipre Seibariogu. The statement by the group insisted that "Okoko brings fresh air to Bayelsa political leadership, he has succesfully started his business from nothing and grown it into a multibillion Naira investment. He has shown support for community service at various times though he has never at anytime appropriated public funds neither has his business been patronised by any government at any level. Okoko is our hope of a prosperous future for Bayelsa. Keniebi [as his name is] is the _*one good*_ God has gifted our generation."

Explaining further, the group said the young businessman and philanthropist became their choice because of how he positively impacted the lives of young Bayelsans who come his way.
According to Ebitimi, Okoko by his ingenuity in business administration has proven that with him leading Bayelsa State as governor the state will be on the path to industrialisation.
They therefore called on all Bayelsan youths to rally round Okoko and convince him to contest for the governorship of Bayelsa state while also mobilising to support him.

The group's statement concluded by enjoining all young people of the voting age to take advantage of the on-going voters registration to register in a neighborhood that they will not need transportation to go and vote. They called on the leadership and card carrying members of the any political party that Okoko chooses to support him and be assured of victory in the general polls.
